Janaury 10, 2024
Happy Wednesday! How are we feeling about 2024 so far? Are we feeling the power or are we already over it and we know that 2025 will be our year?! Either way, I have a really amazing quote for you today. It’s long but encompasses the entire message well, so I’ll do my best to keep my own words to a minimum 😉
“You may believe that living life to the fullest is seeing every country in the world and quitting your job on a whim and falling recklessly in love, but it’s really just knowing how to be where your feet are. It’s learning how to take care of yourself, how to build a simple life you are proud of. A life most fully lived is not always composed of the things that rock you awake, but those that slowly assure you it’s okay to slow down. That you don’t always have to prove yourself. That you don’t need to fight forever, or constantly want more. That it’s okay for things to be just as they are. Little by little, you will begin to see that life can only grow outward in proportion to how stable it is inward - that if the joy is not in the little things first, the big things won’t fully find us.” Brianna Wiest ✨
In a society that often glorifies hustle [and side hustle] culture and ceaseless ambition, it's easy to feel the pressure to constantly prove ourselves and strive for more. However, it's important to recognize that we don't always have to be in a perpetual state of fighting and wanting. Embracing the concept that it's okay for things to be just as they are can be incredibly liberating. It's a gentle reminder that contentment and peace can be found in accepting the present moment, without feeling the need to constantly chase after the next big thing. As we navigate through this big beautiful life, it becomes evident that true growth and fulfillment stem from a foundation of inner stability. The ability to find joy and gratitude in the little things creates the foundation upon which larger aspirations can take root and flourish.
So, let's take a step back and allow ourselves to revel in the small victories, savor the simple pleasures, and find solace in the quiet moments. For it is in these instances that we cultivate the resilience and peace that will sustain us as we pursue our dreams.
Trust your journey. Rest your soul. Always leave people better than you found them and have a delightful day and a sublime weekend! 👽🫶🏻🧿
