Happy happy Wednesday, my beautiful humans!
This Friday morning is a blood worm moon total lunar eclipse ❤️🪱🌕. Eclipses are powerful reminders of the universe's interconnectedness and our place within it, fostering a sense of awe and connection. I personally love to meditate, journal, manifest, and practice gratitude. I do these things on the regular, but especially during eclipses, full moons, and new moons 🌙
Not interested? I can respect that - let’s jump into the quote. That’s what we are here for anyway.
“Do not betray yourself just to feel chosen.” - Annalie Howling ✨
Small, yet mighty, this one. How many times have we bent ourselves, twisted our words, or silenced our truths just to fit into a space that wasn’t meant for us? How often have we compromised what we truly wanted just to feel accepted, wanted, or validated by someone else? And I bet we didn't feel good about it afterward either. We've never walked away from a situation, conversation, meeting, etc., after dimming our own light and said to ourselves, "Yeah, I'm glad I didn't stick up for myself there."
Let’s be real: betrayal hurts. But the worst kind? The one where you betray yourself. The one where you ignore your gut feeling, lower your standards, or say ‘yes’ when your entire soul is screaming ‘no.’ That’s the kind of betrayal that lingers, that leaves you staring at the ceiling at 2 AM, wondering why you feel so disconnected from yourself.
And here’s the thing - when we truly love ourselves, we stop doing that. We start living in a way that aligns with who we are. We make decisions we don’t regret because they come from a place of clarity, of knowing our values, our worth, and what we stand for. Do we still have to make tough choices? Absolutely. But when we stand firm in our truth, those choices become a little easier. The noise fades. The self-doubt lessens. And we move with confidence, knowing we are exactly where we’re meant to be.
Loving yourself means setting boundaries, not just with others, but with yourself. It means refusing to shrink yourself for the comfort of others. It means creating values, mantras, or personal codes that serve as your compass, guiding you through life’s chaos.
So, let’s turn this into action. Grab a journal, open a notes app, or just sit with your thoughts for a moment, and ask yourself:
🫶🏻 What do I stand for?
🫶🏻 What values are non-negotiable for me?
🫶🏻 Where in my life have I compromised myself, and how can I show up differently moving forward?
🫶🏻 If I had a personal mantra, something I could repeat to myself in moments of doubt, what would it be? Mine is “Leave people better than you found them” in case you didn’t know! ☺️
Because you, my friend, are already chosen. By you. And that’s the only validation that truly matters.
Until next time, stay true to you.
Trust your journey. Rest your souls, lil’ saplings. Always leave people better than you found them, and have a radiant day and a magical weekend ahead! 👽🫶🏻🧿🌱
