Happy Wednesday my beautiful humans. I had a conversation with a friend yesterday and that's what inspired me to choose and write on today's quote. So let's go ahead and jump right into it!
"To hate is the lazy easy thing, but to love takes strength everyone has but not all are willing to practice." - Rupi Kaur ✨
Isn't it intriguing how much truth can be packed into a single sentence? Hate often seems like the easier path to take—it's a reactionary emotion, fueled by anger or fear, requiring little effort or introspection. But love, ah, love is a different story altogether. Love requires courage, vulnerability, and a willingness to navigate through the complexities of human emotion.
Let's talk about the difficulty of love. It's not all roses and sunshine; in fact, it's often messy, complicated, and sometimes downright painful. When you open your heart to someone, you're also opening yourself up to the possibility of heartbreak. And yet, despite the risks, love is worth it.
Having your heart broken is one of the most excruciating experiences one can endure. It feels like the very essence of who you are has been shattered into a million irreparable pieces. But here's the thing about broken hearts - they have an incredible capacity to heal. It takes time, patience, and a whole lot of self-love, but eventually, the pieces start coming back together.
And then comes the truly courageous part - opening your heart up once again. It's like stepping out onto a tightrope without a safety net, knowing full well that you could fall at any moment. But you do it anyway, because deep down, you know that love is worth the risk. Love challenges us to become better versions of ourselves. It pushes us out of our comfort zones, encourages empathy, and teaches us invaluable lessons about compromise, patience, and forgiveness. Through the trials and triumphs of love, we grow emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually.
Love isn't always easy. It's messy, it's complicated, and it's often accompanied by pain. But it's also the most beautiful and rewarding experience life has to offer. It's the late-night conversations, the stolen glances, the feeling of profound sense of safety and security, the laughter that fills your soul. It's the feeling of being truly seen and accepted for who you are.
In essence, love is worth the risk because it enriches every aspect of our existence. It brings meaning to our lives, fosters personal growth, and cultivates deep connections that nourish the soul.
So yes, to hate may be the lazy, easy thing, but to love - that takes strength. It takes courage. It takes vulnerability. But above all, it takes a willingness to practice, day in and day out, even when it's hard. Because in the end, love is what makes life worth living.
Trust your journey. Rest your soul. Always leave people better than you found them and have a magical day and an unforgettable weekend ahead! 👽🫶🏻🧿
