Hi hi hi, my beautiful humans! 🌟

Happiest of Wednesdays to you! I’ve been traveling quite a bit these past few weekends and the universe decided to slow me down with a little cold. So, here I am, cozy on the couch, sipping tea, watching Survivor, and typing this out for you. If you spot any typos, just pretend they’re part of the charm, okay? 😜

Now, let’s dive into something that’s been on my mind lately. I came across this quote on Instagram, and it seriously struck a chord:

“You’d be surprised by how many people don’t have a big grand plan. So many people simply go with the flow and work everything out along the way. Don’t let your lack of clear direction stop you from going anywhere. Put one foot in front of the other and pace your own way. You never know what can come from taking it just one day at a time.” - Charlotte Freeman ✨

How often do we get caught up in the idea that if we don’t have a well thought out plan, we’re somehow failing at life? It’s as if not knowing your exact path is a crime. But guess what? Life doesn’t work like that, and honestly, it’s not supposed to.

Here’s the thing: for so long, I was that person with the “perfect” 10-year plan. The one where every milestone was penciled in, and everything had a neat little timeline. And you know how many things went exactly according to that plan? Zero. Not. A. Single. Thing. But instead of seeing that as a failure, I’ve realized it’s exactly how life is meant to unfold. If I had stuck rigidly to that plan, I wouldn’t have experienced half the amazing things that came my way.

There’s a sense of peace in understanding that not having everything figured out is perfectly okay. We live in a world that praises structure and long-term planning, but life is unpredictable. If you’re feeling like you have no idea what’s next, that’s not a sign of failure. It’s an invitation. An invitation to explore, to take risks, and to trust that things will come together as they’re meant to, even if it looks nothing like what you imagined.

So many of us are wired to believe that having a clear plan is the only way to succeed. We get stuck in the belief that if we’re not ticking off boxes on a list, we’re falling behind. But here's a wild thought: what if the path to happiness and fulfillment isn’t always straight? What if it’s messy and full of detours? I’ve learned that sometimes the best things in life happen when you allow yourself to not know. It’s in those moments of uncertainty that we often find what we didn’t even know we were looking for.

And hey, let’s not forget about the beauty of pivoting. Just because you started down one road doesn’t mean you have to stay on it forever. Life is full of opportunities to shift gears, change directions, and try something new. Maybe you thought you were headed toward one goal, but somewhere along the way, you realize it doesn’t resonate with you anymore. Guess what? That’s okay! It’s more than okay, it’s necessary. We grow, we evolve, and our dreams and desires shift with us. There’s no shame in saying, “This isn’t for me anymore,” and heading down a new path. In fact, it’s one of the most empowering things you can do.

So, if you’re feeling stuck because you don’t have every detail of your future mapped out, take a deep breath. You don’t need the 5 year, 10 year, or even 20 year plan. You just need to keep showing up, one step at a time, one day at a time. And if you find yourself changing direction along the way? Embrace it! You are allowed to rewrite your story as many times as you need to.

Life is about the journey, not the destination. So let’s let go of the pressure to have it all figured out, and instead, lean into the unknown with curiosity and courage. Keep putting one foot in front of the other, and trust that you’re exactly where you need to be 💛

Trust your journey. Rest your soul. Always leave people better than you found them, and have a majestic day and a delightful weekend ahead! 👽🫶🏻🧿
