Hi, hi, hi my beautiful humans! 🌟

Happy Wednesday! As some of you saw on my Instagram, I just got back from a peaceful weekend in Wimberley, TX - a small town in wine country that gave me the perfect break that I was desperately craving. There’s something about stepping away from the noise that makes you really think about the life you’re living and today’s quote is all about why living life on your terms is the best decision you’ll ever make. Let’s dive into it:

"It's okay to live a life others don't understand. As you get older, you realize that being true to yourself often means taking a different path that goes against usual norms and expectations." Anonymous ✨

Growing up, so much of our lives are molded by the expectations of others - our parents, our teachers, our schools, and let’s not forget that unspoken societal checklist. Go to college, get a “real” job, settle down, buy a house in the burbs, tick the boxes, and poof! Life is set, right? But here’s the juicy part: life doesn’t come with a one-size-fits-all manual, and that’s the beauty of it!

As we get older, something magical starts to happen. You begin to realize that the only person you’re truly living for is you. And that, my incredible humans, is when the real fun begins.

I’ve really been loving this stage of my life, the part where I get to create my own path, dance to the beat of my own drum (sometimes literally, because who doesn’t love a good solo dance party, and if you’ve been in my loft you know I have the space for it 🪩💃🏻). It's about loving who you are, not who the world says you should be. And it’s okay if the path you’re taking looks wildly different from what anyone else expected, or even what you expected for yourself when you were younger.

You see, we spend so much of our early years shaped by what everyone else thinks is “right” for us. We learn to fit in, to please, and sometimes to silence the little voice inside us that’s whispering, “But what about this?” And that’s normal. It’s human. But as we start to step out from under that weight and lean into our own desires and dreams, it can feel liberating… and a little scary, too.

The truth is, there will always be people who don’t get it - who look at your choices and raise an eyebrow. And that's perfectly fine. Not everyone is supposed to understand your journey because they’re not the ones walking it. The moment we stop seeking validation from others is the moment we gain the freedom to live authentically, unapologetically, and in a way that lights our soul on fire.

When you choose the path that’s true to you, you might ruffle some feathers or raise some eyebrows, but isn’t it better than pretending to be someone you’re not? Life isn’t about fitting into someone else’s storyline; it’s an ongoing creation that’s defined by your vision, not anyone else’s expectations.

Here’s a little reminder: You have every right to pivot, to start over, to try something completely out of left field. Maybe you’re the artsy one in a family of engineers, or you left a “secure” job to chase your passion, or maybe you just don’t fit into any box at all. Guess what? That’s not just okay - it’s incredible. It’s inspiring. You are breaking the mold simply by being you.

So, let’s celebrate those different paths, those brave decisions that defy norms, and those moments when you choose yourself, even when it doesn’t make sense to anyone else. Keep being bold, keep being weird, keep being wonderfully, unapologetically you.

Live your truth, walk your own path, and trust that the right people will find you along the way: people who see you, understand you, and most importantly, respect you for being exactly who you are. And those who don’t? Wish them well and keep it moving. They’re just missing out on the unique, beautiful magic that is you. 💫

And remember, it’s okay to live a life that others don’t understand, because that’s where the real adventure begins.

Trust your journey. Rest your soul. Always leave people better than you found them, and have a beautiful day and an adventurous weekend ahead! 👽🫶🏻🧿
