As social media has only grown and become more prominent, self-criticism and comparison have followed suit and often overshadow self-love and acceptance. We are constantly bombarded by ads and influencers promoting the best workout routines, workout supplements, diets, Ozempic or the equivalent, surgeries… the list truly goes on and on. Platforms filled with carefully curated images of ‘ideal’ bodies can distort our perception of reality. We compare our behind-the-scenes to everyone else’s highlight reel, and it’s a losing battle.

Loving yourself isn’t a destination; it’s a journey, an ongoing adventure filled with twists, turns, and plenty of pit stops. It’s important to understand that self-love doesn’t mean you have to adore every single aspect of yourself 24/7. It's about embracing your authentic self, the good, bad, and the messy, with compassion and grace. Self-love means recognizing your worth, accepting your flaws, and celebrating your unique fabulousness.
